ED LAUNCHES THE AFRICAN MUSEUM CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

President Emmerson Mnangagwa today  laid the foundation stone for the construction of core buildings at the Museum of African Liberation site in Warren Park, Harare.

Speaking at the occasion, President Mnangagwa said it  is the responsibility of Africans to build their continent, adding that Africa’s liberation struggle was a combination of efforts by different nations.

He said  the Museum of African Liberation immortalises supreme sacrifices made by sons and daughters who fought to liberate the country.

President Mnangagwa also highlighted that the launch of the project shows commitment by the Second Republic which seeks to implement and complete tasks.

The African Liberation Museum which has the backing of other African countries who fought to liberate themselves from colonial rule seeks to document, preserve and protect the history of African struggles.
