By Staff Reporter

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission ZEC today launched its drive for mobile voter registration in the country’s 210 constituencies.

The drive is in preparation for the delimitation exercise as the country counts down to next year’s general elections.

Speaking to journalists in Harare this morning, ZEC Chief Elections Officer, Utoile Silaigwana said the exercise will enable ZEC to carry out a well-coordinated delimitation exercise that is informed by actual numbers on the ground.

The exercise will be held in two phases with the first phase starting on the 1st of February.

He said the exercise will be held in two phases and will run from the 1st to the 28th of this month.

The commission has 210 voter registration teams to cover 210 constituencies, this is in addition to the 63 district centres.
