ZimTrade is hosting its flagship event, the annual Exporters’ Conference, today and tomorrow at the Meikles hotel in Harare.
Notably, sectors represented are horticulture, FMCG, processed foods, beauty products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to mention a few. Additionally, expected buyers present will be from Ghana, Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique.
This brings together policy makers, industry leaders and regulators to explore Zimbabwe’s export opportunities. In addition, the two-day event will have the buyers’ seminar today and the exporters’ conference tomorrow. Government officials, local industry leaders, speakers from Africa and beyond will discuss key solutions that will drive Zimbabwe’s export growth.
There will be a celebration of the top local exporting companies. This will be by hosting the “exporter of the year awards” to close off the two-day event.
This conference is one of the many initiatives being done locally to boost Zimbabwe’s export earnings. Zimbabwe’s industries have been on the upward trajectory with an increase of export to regional and international markets.
ZimTrade works closely with their privileged partners, industry experts and development cooperation partners. They provide a comprehensive suite of value-added services. Also, they assist Zimbabwean exporters, including first-time exporters and potential exporters, to develop, promote and facilitate export of their goods and services to the world.
